Autobiographies of Microfinance

Inspired by NPR’s StoryCorps and consistent with Our Objectives, the MoMF Team wants to hear and share your microfinance stories. It only takes 3 easy steps:

STEP 1: RESERVE A SPOT

Think of a microfinance client, practitioner or student whose story you would like to share with others.  Think of someone whose story isn’t normally told—we’d love to hear from your clients and from the field officers who work with them.  We want to hear about the realities of microfinance, the struggles and the high points. So often, only a single narrative is told about microfinance, but this project is about opening stories back up, about embracing the multitude of voices, about the ambiguity of reality.  Think of sharing your story. You can also work on a joint story with another client, practitioner or student.  Then contact us to reserve a spot in our blog series.

STEP 2: PREPARE FOR YOUR BLOG POST

Review our Autobiographies guidelines and Microfinance Questions (English)(French)(Spanish)

STEP 3: WRITE AND SUBMIT YOUR BLOG POST or YouTube VIDEO

Your audience will consist of students (high school, college and graduate students) who would like to take an active role in the microfinance sector and microfinance experts, researchers, practitioners and enthusiasts. Send your Autobiographies to the MoMF Team (mofmfi@gmail.com). We will post it on our homepage and share it via our social media channels. For your YouTube video use the following tag: 2014MoMF
